Resum

This Formative Activity has been developed for use with the upper level of vocational training students in mechanical manufacturing, to learn the most important concepts with regards to the metallurgy of ferrous materials (iron, steel and cast iron) in English.

This Formative Activity about Ferrous materials consists of 3 units:

- Ferrous materials: Iron, Steel and Iron Castings. Composition and Properties.
- The Iron-Carbon diagram.
- Physical properties of ferrous materials: Hardness and Strength.
