Resum

Learn Another Language is a unit of work that focuses on the importance of learning foreign languages and on the fact that no language is superior o inferior. Students watch a video that triggers their mind to think of the importance of learning a foreign language. Students design a classroom poster with a list of the ten most important reasons to learn a foreign language. Then, students search for the origin of a number of English words. Finally, they look for information on languages in Europe and learn how to say “thank you” and “hello” in different languages.

The unit also includes a self evaluation where students assess their attitude to learning foreign languages and to languages in general.
